

After watching a video about the participants in the Art Project, students at three of the schools involved decided to raise money for the Karen students to purchase blankets and school supplies.
Luego de ver un video de los participantes del proyecto de arte, alumnos de dos de las escuelas decidieron reunir dinero para que los alumnos de Karen puedan comprar frazadas y provisiones para la escuela.
* The students drew blankets on the front of greeting cards which they then sold in the
community for $1 each.
* The staff hosted a two-hour aerobics dance marathon. Community members contributed $5 each to participate in the marathon.
The students were able to send to the Karen students $1800 made up of the money they raised and donations.

The Zuni students held an A:Shiwi Humanitarian Month in January. They took part in two
activities:

Koorie students at Bairnsdale Secondary College conducted a sausage sizzle and competition to raise money. Added to the money donated by the College’s Students’
Representative Council, they were able to send $500 to the Karen students.

Alumnos Koorie en la Escuela Segundaria de Bairnsdale, realizaron un asado y una competencia para reunir dinero, ademas de el dinero donado por el consejo representante de alumnos del colegio, pudieron enviar $500 a los alumnos de Karen.
Money was also collected by the students at The Choctaw Tribal Schools. They sent $275 to the Karen students.
