Childhood by Amir Husseini

Childhood is indeed the prime period of one's life, because a child is normally away from the trails, tribulations and harsh realties of life. It is also a time when one can lead a carefree and enjoyable life. It is also a time when the human mind learns most of what he or she will grow up to be. Thus childhood can also be classified as the prime learning of one's life.

One of the great leaders has said that:
"Surely the heart of a child is like fallow ground, whatever is planted in it is accepted by it."

Thus it is very important to make sure that children are exposed to good things, so that they learn good things because as the famous saying goes that today's children are tomorrow's leaders.

But the children in the 3rd world countries like, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh are working as labourers and are chosen for other difficult jobs. And then they are unable to benefit through modern education and advanced technology. Thus the quality of their life both in their childhood and their adulthood is poor, bleak and hopeless.

It is my humble opinion that governments of countries where children are forced to work should do more to eradicate this menace. Primary education should be made compulsory for all children all over the world, so that they can learn and enjoy in the prime period of their life. And so that mankind can attain greater advancement and improve quality of their life.
